What a surprise to see our creation of “Puritan portraits” now appearing on Wikipedia under their article on the Puritans!! Not sure how this sits comfortably with their copyright policy!
A bit rich when one editor has taken it upon himself to remove all links to our website from this and other pages related to the Puritans - and this was done on the basis that the links represent spamming, supposedly adding nothing of intrinsic value to the pages devoted to the puritans- even though we are indexing and making available the works of the puritans!

Charles Haddon Spurgeon
We’ve created this blog to address current theological issues and to keep you informed of all the changes and upcoming improvements to the Book-Academy site.
For those not familiar with our website, it was created to reproduce Spurgeon’s work “Commenting and Commentaries”, but with a big difference viz. that, where they exist, we have provided FREE download links to the electronic versions of the commentaries to which Spurgeon refers and/or recommends. For the most part these commentaries have not been reprinted in a very long time, if at all, and they command a handsome price on the secondhand and antiquarian book market. But now they can be yours for no cost- they need not occupy shelf space, but can reside on your computer and most of the works are searchable, or you can find searchable versions at the source destination, which we have not tried to conceal.
Our prayer is that many Christians will avail themselves of these precious helps and that God may even raise up other men like Spurgeon - deeply versed in the Bible and taught of the Holy Ghost - men with a passion for souls and a rigid adherence to Biblical orthodoxy, be they opposed by friends or foes.
Please do browse our website because we have added many links to Spurgeon’s own works, and very many others to Puritan works. In fact our idea for a Puritans page was considered so good that a leading US Reformed website promptly plagiarised, without any acknowledgement, all the links from an earlier version of our website and created their own version of our Puritans page! Enough said, but do check out the original “Puritan Library“ on our website.
We wish every blessing to our readers and trust that you will also book mark this blog and visit us frequently. We would love to hear from you. So, please do feel free to add your comments, be they encouraging or disparaging!
