We have added a random quote generator to this blog which will produce random quotes from a substantial database of Puritan Gems. We shall be adding more and more quotes with time. In the meantime we trust that you will enjoy and benefit from this new feature.
We’ve added the Book Academy blog to blog search engine Technorati. Please feel freeĀ to view our Technorati Profile. On a similar note, our feed is now run through feedburner to make it easier to subscribe to updates. You can view the feed and subscribe to it at http://feeds.feedburner.com/bookacademy.
What a surprise to see our creation of “Puritan portraits” now appearing on Wikipedia under their article on the Puritans!! Not sure how this sits comfortably with their copyright policy!
A bit rich when one editor has taken it upon himself to remove all links to our website from this and other pages related to the Puritans - and this was done on the basis that the linksĀ represent spamming, supposedly adding nothing of intrinsic value to the pages devoted to the puritans- even though we are indexing and making available the works of the puritans!
We have just added Spurgeon’s daily devotions to our website. This operates on a rotation basis so that each day the appropriate reading appears on the page. The readings are for morning and evening - in other words the relevant reading will be shown on the page depending on the time of day that the page is accessed. Currently there is a slight problem in that we are using a US based server and we have not yet figured out how to toggle the time depending on GMT. We are working on this..
In the meantime, we hope that our readers will appreciate and benefit from this new addition.
